Scottish rock band Idlewild has launched a new album paired with a craft beer – Bad Logic – which has been brewed by Barney’s Beer Summerhall.
2015’s Scottish Fiction was the first beer the band made in collaboration with the Edinburgh based Brewery and sold out within a month. Their latest album, Interview Music is Idlewild’s 8th full studio album and a limited run of 2000 cans are available online, at launch events and through Scottish Stockists from today.
“the Bad Logic idea came from Roddy talking about how the album drew on influences of living in Scotland and travelling & working in the US – particularly west coast. So we thought it would be fun to use Scottish grain & US hops”
Bad Logic Pale Ale reflects the band’s American-influenced style of Scottish rock using all Scottish malt and oats for a refreshing light base, and is hopped with a trifecta of juicy American hops. Light and sparkling session pale ale.
At the album launch event on April 5 at Assai Grindlay Street, Edinburgh the beer will be available for the first taste. The beer is being distributed to trade EeBria from this weekend and also will be available for fans of the band and the brewer to buy from Flavourly online.
A strictly limited edition beer, Bad Logic will also be available on the High Street in Edinburgh and Glasgow. In Edinburgh at most independent Edinburgh bottle shops and the Summerhall Shop and in Glasgow Valhalla’s Goat and 71 Brewing.
