Edinburgh Beer Factory collaborate with London Beer Factory

Edinburgh Beer Factory has been collaborating with London Beer Factory where the two conducted a brewer-swap and then created a beer in each other’s brewery.

In Edinburgh, they reworked a classic Scotch Ale with the infusion of heather and honey. The brew, called ‘Below the Heather’ inherits a full mouthfeel from the honey and invokes all of the velvety qualities of the heather. All while a full malt bill gives rise to raisin and biscuit notes. N

South of the border they concocted a traditional London Porter. With ‘Night Life’ they shook up the dark coffee notes with punchy orange zest and the endless richness of Tate & Lyle’s Black Treacle.

Night Light is crisp and delicate whilst keeping the brooding mysteriousness of a truly great Porter. Strong orange notes all but literally fill the nose with marmalade. This porter embodies light breaking through the darkness, the perfect accompaniment to long winter nights making way for spring.

Both collab beers are available now from the brewery shop at Bankhead and online through their webshop.
